Summary

In 2021 MTS Partner started to suggest more different MTS services to Users: streamings subscriptions (MTS Music and MTS KION), phone number changing, SIM card portation. In this case I describe how I designed new App's features to make selling process for Partners easier and faster

Problems

Long time spent for one selling

Average time for one selling should be decreased. It will increase total revenue of the product

Unavailable services

The product didn’t cover all User needs: some services and sellings aren’t available in the App

It's difficult to calculate Partners' profits

The calculation scheme for Partners' profits is formed through MTS back-end developers. It takes lots of MTS resources

When I joined the product, I analysed its CJMs, AS IS User Flows and read all the documentation provided by Analysts and Developers and got acquainted with product strategy for the next year. It helped me better understand how the product works and what legacy it has

New Design System

In 2020 MTS started to implement the new Design System in all its digital products to make developing process faster. When I joined the team, I had a significant task to update the product's design and make it in MTS Design System components

Solutions

New services in the App

In the first iterations there were only a few services (e.g SIM sellings and home Internet services). The Partnerss could easily calculate the statistics of their income and make conclusions about their profit per month

With the increase in services, we needed a more convenient data overview. For the First version I've made a bar chart because we didn't have enough resources but for the Second version I've lobbied for a pie chart and added filtering for each type of service. Consequently, partners got access to monthly revenues statistics from each service type they've sold

The App and Web version are designed with the use of MTS Design System components. The amount of resources spent on development has decreased

Passport scanning feature

To make selling processes faster for partners, I've proposed a document scanning feature, which allows fill customers' personal data much faster and automatically

I've communicated with my Developers to understand how much time will it take to develop such a feature. It turned out that we could simply use API to convert to information from photo into text and fill the form. Then I've discussed it with our Product Manager and got resources to add passport (in first version) and then other documents (drivers license, international passport, etc.) scanning feature

Stand alone Web product for schemes calculations

To calculate the profit from all sales, partners' operators from MTS created calculation schemes with the help of MTS back-end developers. In order to optimize the calculation process, in 2021 resources were allocated for MTS Moneybox product design

I started designing a product from a scratch. To better understand how the previous version worked I've initiated daily calls with back-end developer and analyst who worked on a product before

I proposed using a tree structure for the calculation scheme of all partners' transactions. The operator fills in all calculation criteria in each step of the scheme calculation and applies the calculation scheme

If a new calculation scheme appears, the operator may copy the previous one and quickly make changes without using developer resources. When the work is done, the calculation scheme automatically. The new scheme is automatically applied to future Partner sales. In MTS partner, the revenue report will be generated in accordance with the new calculation scheme

Overview

At this step we’ve conducted several UX Researches 
to make sure our users understand the User Flow,
 all entities’ values and wordings correctly

Usability Tests

With prepared Hi-Fi prototypes we’ve conducted series
 of UX Tests and revealed a lot useful information, which helped me improve layouts. For example, after the tests I found out that it wasn't convenient fr Users to sign the contract in vertical orientation. That's why I've added turning feature

I've conducted design audit (review) of Mobile and Web pre-prod version of MTS Partner and MTS Moneybox every two weeks before the new sprint. Audit included iOS/Android and Web adaptives

Grooming

Discovering technical limitations on Grooming sessions with Product Manager and Developers to prioritise design solutions and decide what should be done in the next two sprints

Dashboard for Partners

There are plans to design a Dashboard for Partners showing them overview of all sellings and revenue and filter them by different parameters

MTS Music and KION promotions

To stimulate sales of streaming services MTS Music and KION, there were plans to add features that would encourage Partners to sell more services along with the sale of SIM cards. In the current version I've added more buttons CTA as a quick solution for that promotions.  In the next version I'd like to allocate more resources to explore additional opportunities for services promotion
